About Revadean Quastad, Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Revadean Quastad, Nurse Practitioner, provides care and numerous services to all ages. Revadean grew up in Northern Iowa and received her BSN from Seattle Pacific University and MSN from Case Western Reserve University, with post Master’s certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University. She has extensive multi-cultural experience in healthcare encompassing total family care.
What is a Nurse Practitioner?
A Nurse Practitioner, also known as an NP, is a licensed independent clinician who practices as primary and/or specialty care provider. An NP is an expert clinician with advanced training who provides a full range of medical services to individuals, families and groups. Besides diagnosing and managing acute episodic and chronic illnesses, NPs emphasize health promotion and disease prevention.
Services include, but are not limited to:
- Ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Assessing, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribing medications and treatments and managing overall patient care
Teaching and counseling individuals, families and groups are an important part of NP practice. NPs emphasize helping patients make educated healthcare decisions and healthy lifestyle choices.
