About Fred Kupfer
A native of Northern New Jersey, Fred Kupfer began his medical career as a Paramedic, then, in 1988, graduated with a BS/Physician Assistant from Long Island University of Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Kupfer then completed a post-graduate training program in General Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. In 2000, he earned a Master’s Degree from University of Nebraska, specializing in Orthopedics.
Dr. Kupfer has worked in several surgical specialties such as Burn Surgery, General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, as well as other specialties such as Urgent Care, Emergency Room, Family Practice, Prison Medicine, etc. His Orthopedics experience includes Hand/Microsurgery Practices (San Diego Navy Medical Center, Mayo Clinic), Joint Replacement and General Orthopedics (Fractures, Sprains/Strains) at other facilities.
Aside from patient care, Dr. Kupfer was an adjunct Clinical Instructor at University of Wisconsin’s Physician Assistant program for several years. He currently provides Orthopedic services via a private chiropractic clinic.
